Who wouldn’t agree that summer is the best time for salads? I do love them anytime of year, but this one here is an absolute fave of mine and it’s detox-friendly, too!

Carrot Cinnamon Detox Salad

Ingredients

  • Few large handfuls of baby arugula
  • 1 carrot, grated
  • 1 apple, diced
  • few leaves fresh basil, thinly chopped
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

Creamy Tahini Dressing

  • 1 tbsp sesame tahini
  • 1/2 - 1 tbsp raw honey
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2-3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried basil

Instructions

  1. Place arugula in bowl or plate.

  2. In small bowl, toss carrot, apple, raisins, cinnamon and basil until mixed evenly and place on top of arugula.

  3. In separate small bowl, whisk all dressing ingredients and drizzle on top of salad.

  4. Enjoy immediately!
