Maple Mustard Dressing And Glaze

All you need is a few pantry staples hanging around in your cupboards to make this Maple Mustard Dressing and Glaze that can be used on salmon or chicken, or drizzled on your favourite salad.

Honey and mustard: a wonderful pairing. Or, in this case, maple and mustard. In any case, these are things that we often have on hand and can be used to make the most deliciously simple salad dressing or glaze for chicken or baked salmon (one of my favourite ways to use it!)

I've got two options for you in this post. A salad dressing option and a glaze option. I love using maple syrup for these recipes, but honey works just as well, too.

Maple Mustard Dressing

A simple blend of maple syrup, mustards, and olive oil to create a rich and flavourful salad dressing.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup olive oil

  • 1/4 cup old-fashioned grainy mustard

  • 2 tbsp dijon mustard (or yellow mustard if preferred)

  • 1-2 tbsp maple syrup (or honey) (Add to desired sweetness)

  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar

  • cracked black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to small bowl and whisk until smooth and thoroughly combined.

  2. Store in refrigerator for up to 4 weeks.

Use as dressing for salad or glaze for chicken or fish.

The glaze is really just omitting the oil and vinegar. This way it's extra thick and the flavours pop a bit more which makes it perfect for baking salmon or chicken.

Maple Mustard Glaze

A 3-ingredient sweet mustard glaze perfect for chicken or salmon!

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup old-fashioned grainy mustard

  • 2 tbsp dijon or yellow mustard

  • 2 tbsp maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to small bowl and whisk until combined. This will only take a few seconds!

  2. Use as glaze right away or store in refrigerator in airtight container or jar for up to 4 weeks.
