Homemade Sea Salt Body Scrub

This Homemade Sea Salt Body Scrub requires works wonderfully at brushing away dryness while leaving your skin beautifully soft and smooth.

A few weeks ago I made myself a body scrub from scratch and it's become my favourite thing to use in the shower!

I have pretty dry skin and it gets especially dry in the winter which is why I really like to exfoliate, but not only in the winter. The spring and summer is also a great time to exfoliate to brush way any dry skin remaining from the colder months, and this DIY Body Scrub works so incredibly well!

It's surprisingly moisturizing with the addition of sweet almond oil and the grainy sea salt really helps to scrub away dry skin. My skin feels SO smooth afterwards.

How to Make Homemade Sea Salt Body Scrub

To make this Homemade Sea Salt Body Scrub you'll just need a few simple ingredients:

  • fine ground sea salt or pink Himalayan salt

  • sweet almond oil or another quality skin oil such as jojoba, avocado, or MCT oil (liquid coconut oil)

  • 1-2 drops of skin-safe essential oil such as lavender or frankincense

  • a small jar with lid

To make this body scrub, all you do is mix together the ingredients in your jar until well combined and voila! Store it in your shower for use a few times a week and notice how incredibly softening it it.

I keep my jar of body scrub in my shower. That way I can easily scoop some out when my skin is already wet. Simply rub into the skin on your arms, legs, back and stomach gently in circular motions, and rinse off.

Note: I don't recommend using this scrub on your face as the salt is too abrasive. Instead, just use this for the rest of your body.
