Ginger Peach Smoothie (Low Sugar)

This Ginger Peach Smoothie, made with fresh peaches, cinnamon, and vanilla, is low in sugar but the perfect peach pie treat any time of day.

I've got a few low-sugar smoothie recipes to share this week, starting with this Ginger Peach Smoothie! This smoothie tastes like peach pie, but without it being too sweet.

The best part is that peaches are coming up in season (in Ontario) now that summer is just about here, so if you can get your hands on a basket of fresh juicy peaches, they'd be delicious in this smoothie! You can, however, also use frozen and either thaw them or toss them in cold.

I love a good sweet fruity smoothie sometimes, but other times I don't want it too sugary. Unfortunately, the natural sugars from fruits can add up quickly in smoothies, sometimes upwards of 30, 40, or 50g of sugar in one glass depending on the fruits or other added sweeteners you use. But with a little creativity and low-sugar ingredients, you can make yourself a delicious, nutritious smoothie that's not too sweet.

Plus, I love that the ginger, vanilla, and cinnamon in this recipe help enhance the sweetness and flavours without actually adding sugar.
