I recently whipped up this Banana Walnut Oatmeal made with an assortment of goodies (like chia seeds, cinnamon, and plump Thompson raisins) and it truly makes for a delicious, hearty, and filling breakfast.

How to Make Banana Walnut Oatmeal

Banana Walnut Oatmeal

A hearty, filling oatmeal made with plump raisins, cinnamon, chia seeds and walnuts.
Servings: 1

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup oats

  • 3/4 - 1 cup milk of choice

  • 1 tsp chia seeds

  • 1/8 tsp cinnamon

  • dash sea salt

  • dash coconut or brown sugar

  • 1-2 tbsp Thompson raisins

Toppings

  • 1 banana, for slicing

  • handful walnuts, crushed

  • splash extra milk on top

Instructions

  1. Add oats and milk to pot and bring to a simmer. Add raisins, sea salt, coconut (or brown) sugar, and stir. Let cook a couple of minutes.

  2. Stir in chia seeds and continue to cook on low until thickened.

  3. Once cooked, transfer to bowl and top with sliced banana, crushed walnuts, and a splash of extra milk on top.
