An easy, decadent stewed apple recipe with cinnamon and almond butter.
Start by chopping up your apples into bite-sized chunks. Add to a pan with water, oil or butter, cinnamon, and sea salt and let steam away until softened over medium heat. This will take about 5 minutes or so. We want them to be soft, but not mushy.
Stir in maple syrup and almond butter until creamy. Remove from heat and enjoy right away.
Store leftovers in airtight container or jar in fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for longer.
