Ingredients

  • 2 cups fruit/berries of choice (raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, etc. or mixture of any). Frozen or fresh.
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional)

Instructions

  1. Measure 2 cups of frozen berries and add to a saucepan. Cover and simmer over medium heat for about 10 minutes, until all fruit is softened and lots of liquid is produced. Add sweetener if preferred.

  2. Stir well and mash lightly with a fork. You don't need the mixture to be a puree, just mixed enough so there aren't huge pieces of fruit.

  3. Mix in 2 tablespoons of chia seeds and combine well.

  4. Transfer contents to 8oz glass jar. Place in refrigerator to thicken for a few hours or overnight.

Recipe Notes

Store in refrigerator for about 1 week, or freezer for several months.
