Green smoothies are a great way to get more greens into your diet, plus, this Tropical Green Smoothie is absolutely delicious. I’m certain it’ll become a new favourite!

I used to be really terrible at making smoothies. They’d either be way too sweet or way too grassy-flavoured (as in, waaay too much kale); too watery, or too chunky. But over the years I’m pleased to announce that I’ve learned a thing or two and I now really enjoy throwing them together and playing around with different ingredients. Today I want to share a very basic but delicious Tropiocal Green Smoothie recipe that’s easily one of my favourites!
Green smoothies like this one are a great way to get more greens into your diet. Nothing new, I know, but it’s worth repeating just how wonderful and beneficial leafy greens are. Whether it’s kale, spinach or collards, these veggies are amazing.
Why You Should Eat More Greens
- they’re a highly bio-available source of calcium
- rich in magnesium, a muscle-relaxing mineral that also helps reduce stress
- high in antioxidants for cellular support and heart health
I like to buy packages of frozen fruit and thaw what I need for my smoothies. I find frozen fruit makes them too icy and soft fruit makes them smoother.
